Justarts Gallery

JustArts Gallery, based in Tulsa, centers and celebrates the creative work of people who are incarcerated, affirming their voices and visions as vital parts of our cultural landscape. JustArts’ exhibitions and programs are developed in partnership with artists confined to carceral institutions across the country, as well as their loved ones on the outside.

Drawing from over 15 years of experience working with artists in prison, JustArts uplifts creative expression as a powerful act of resistance, identity, and connection -- an insistence on humanity in the face of systems built to erase it. Artists who exhibit their work at JustArts receive all income from sales, unless they independently decide to contribute a portion to support the Gallery. In addition to showing and selling their work, JustArts serves as boots on the ground for incarcerated artists, identifying other avenues for sharing their artwork and stories. We prioritize accessibility and artists' sense of agency, dignity, and worth when forging connections.

JustArts offers our local community opportunities to invest in, collaborate with, and learn from artists inside. We hope the Gallery space will become a hub for community building and organizing efforts at the intersection of the arts and justice.
